Building creativity and livelihood opportunities through professional tailoring and fashion education.
Overview
The tailoring centre is where the largest number of women in Khumriyal earn their first income. Learners begin with a needle and a measurement tape and finish with garments they have cut, stitched and finished themselves.
Machines, fabric and thread are provided at the centre. Many graduates go on to stitch from home for their own village, and a few have opened small boutiques of their own.
